  • How do I secure a wedding date?
    When you are ready to secure your dates, please contact us using the contact page and we will issue you will booking from to get things kicked off.
  • How can I check if the site is booked?
    An online availibity checker will be on the site in the future, but for now please get in touch with us via the contact from to check on dates.
  • Can I perform the legal ceremony at Sychpwll?
    No, we do not currently have a license for you to perform the legal ceremony on site. Most people will get the legal section done at a registry office (Welshpool or Oswestry are are each within 20 mins driving) or church and have a second ceremony on site performed by a celebrant of their choosing.
  • Can I use my own suppliers?
    Yes, you are free to bring in your own suppliers for any element of your wedding. We can recommend suppliers if you need us to.
  • Do I have to pay corkage fees at Sychpwll?
    No, we don’t charge any corkage fees. If you are hiring a bar service you may want to double check they will not charge you corkage.
  • How many guests can I have?
    We currently have two price options for weddings, one up to 80 guests and one up to 100 guests. If you require more than 100 guests please get in touch with us, this is possible but we will need to establish the additional costs that would incur.
  • Are there any accommodation options on site?
    Yes, we have various accommodation options that can be hired by you or your guests. Guests can also camp on site without charge.
  • Is there parking on site for guests?
    Yes, we allow cars to park in a designated areas.
  • Are straw bales / hay bales allowed?
    Absolutely.
  • Do I need insurance?
    We recommend you organise a wedding insurance package to cover you for any mishap you may have with a supplier or any other unforeseen circumstances.
  • Can I pay in installments?
    We currently invoice 50% upon booking and a second 50% 30 days prior to the event.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    The first £500 of your initial 50% payment is non-refundable. If you need to cancel your event with at least 60 days notice we will refund the remaining balance of your initial payment. The balance of your booking is payable 30 days before the event. Any cancellation within 60 days of the event is not refundable, however if we get a last minute booking of any sort on the same days we will refund you any amount made on that event.
  • How can I book to camp?
    If you are a return customer you can you can book with us directly using the contact form. Alternatively a limited number of pitches are available to book via Pitch up at - https://www.pitchup.com/supplier2/campsite/sychpwll-centre/
  • Do you allow dogs?
    Yes we do allow dogs on site but they must be kept on a lead at all times and dog mess must be cleaned up. Dogs are charged at £2 a night.
  • Do you allow fires?
    Yes, as long as they are kept off the grass and in a fire pit. We do have a limited number of firepits to rent on site.
  • Are hot showers availible?
    Yes, there are 4 hot showers on site. There is no charge for these, but we respectfully ask guest to be mindful of water usage and help maintain our eco-friendly site.
  • What facilities can campers use?
    The straw-bale kitchen is availble for campers to use during their stay. The kitchen is equipped with fridges and a five hob double-oven range. Guests are kindly reminded to clean up after themselves.
  • Do you allow camper vans?
    We do allow camper vans on site but we do not offer electric hook-ups.
  • Are there any electirc hook ups availible?
    No. However the straw-bale kichen has power points for charging phones / laptops etc.
  • Do you have any equipment to hire on site?
    Yes, thanks to our friends at Map Adventures, we can offer a range of tents, sleeping mats and camping equipment availible on site. We can organise tents to be erected for you on arrival or just a dry hire. Please note, a damage deposit is required and bookings MUST be made in advance so please contact us before booking.
  • Do you allow fireworks?
    No, due to local wildlife we no longer allow firework displays.
  • Can I hire a band / DJ for my event?
    Yes, you are free to hire either. The music level must be turned down by 11pm.
  • Can you recommend a local photographer for our event?
    Yes, Nesta Lloyd (http://nestalloyd.co.uk/) she lives locally and actually helped us supply many of the images used on the website.
